  • Tour lasts approximately 1 hour
Take a ride on a Double Decker Bus and see many of San Francisco's famous sites including St Mary's Cathedral, San Francisco's Japantown, Alamo Square, Japanese Tea Gardens, Haight & Ashbury, California Academy of Sciences and more!

The Park Loop departs from Macy's in Union Square and heads along Geary St., past St. Mary's Cathedral and San Francisco's Japantown.

  • St. Mary's Cathedral - A proto-cathedral and parish of the Roman Catholic Church, Old Saint Mary's was built in 1854 as the first cathedral of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
  • Japantown - A common name for official Japanese communities in big cities outside Japan.

From here we visit Alamo Square, home to the world famous "Painted Ladies" Victorian houses. The bus then whisks you towards the beautiful Golden Gate Park.  Within the park you can visit such renowned attractions as the De Young Museum, Japanese Tea Gardens and the new multimillion dollar California Academy of Sciences.

  • Alamo Square - A residential neighborhood and park with a row of famous Victorian houses known as the "Painted Ladies."
  • Golden Gate Park - A large urban park consisting of 1017 acres of public grounds with 13 million visitors annually.
  • De Young Museum - A fine arts museum located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, named for early San Francisco newspaperman M. H. de Young.
  • Japanese Tea Gardens - A popular feature of Golden Gate Park, the gardens were originally built as part of the World's Fair.
  • California Academy of Sciences - One of the ten largest museums of natural history in the world, it features an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum and more all under one “living” roof.

On the return from Golden Gate Park, the bus visits the famous Haight Ashbury district then up to Alamo Square for a second time, passing directly in front of the "Painted Ladies" for a fantastic photo opportunity before visiting the Civic Center and returning to Union Square.

  • Haight-Ashbury - A district of San Francisco, named for the intersection of Haight and Ashbury Streets.
  • Civic Center - An area of a few blocks north of the intersection of Market Street and Van Ness Avenue that contains many of the city's largest government and cultural institutions.
  • Union Square - A central shopping, hotel, and theater district that surrounds a plaza for several blocks.

The one hour loop departs and returns to and from Macy's only with no stops.  If guests decide to get off at the California Academy of Sciences Museum, there will be a pick-up at 2:30 PM when the second tour arrives.

For the 2:30 PM departure, guests can be dropped off at the museum, however, there will be no return pick up.
