The barquentine-rigged Clipper City is an exact reconstruction of the historic ship built in 1854 using original plans loaned from the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. Big City Clippers dominated the coastal trade in the US and the world during the 1800’s, the Civil War and into the early 20th Century when steamships came to the forefront of American trade. Nothing will prepare you for the amazing sensation of being on one of the largest sailing boats still in commercial operation today...160' feet long, with masts rising 120` off the deck. Flying over 8,000 square feet of sail and weighing in at over 200 tons, the Clipper City is both the iconic newest addition to the NYC skyline and a stunning reminder of New York’s role in America’s 19th Century rise to prominence in global commerce. Enjoy stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge as the ship gets underway. Sail by the Statue of Liberty under the awesome power of the wind! Views also include Ellis Island, the Manhattan Skyline, Governors Island and Battery Park. Depending on the winds and tides, the captain may sail up the Buttermilk Channel or out to the Verrazzano Bridge spanning the ocean entrance to NY Harbor.

Cancellation policy:
Cancellation Policy – By placing an order you are agreeing to the following Cancellation Policy. Any order booked and subsequently cancelled will be subject to a $25 per person cancellation fee. Any reservation cancelled within 24 hours of tour departure are 100% non-refundable. If the total price of your purchase is less than $25 you will only be charged the amount of the activity. This cancellation policy is applicable for each activity, event or tour within a transaction. Any changes to date or time will be accepted with no charge up until 24 hours prior to the tour departure or activity or event scheduled start time. Changes within the 24 hour cutoff must be done by phone and will be subject to availability, if the preferred date or time of the change is not available then the standard cancellation penalty applies.

Any collected cancellation fees will be credited to your customer account and will be available for use on any of our other products. Re booking must be done within one year of your cancellation to apply any cancellation credits, unused cancellation fees are non-refundable if not used to re book another of our products within one year.
